Aelita comes out of her daydream to respond to the other Lyoko Warriors: she’s certain she’ll find a way to find her mother, even if Tyron’s Supercomputer is destroyed. And with XANA’s huge threat looming over the entire world, Anthea would surely be proud of her daughter’s decision. It’s decided: they’ll destroy the Cortex this very day!
The six Lyoko Warriors head for the Cortex. When they arrive, William is forced to stay behind to guard the Skid while the others head for the Dome. Tyron has modified the Cortex environment so it will no longer keep changing. But this won’t make a difference to the effectiveness of the virus. The ex-XANA Warrior is finally allowed to join the others, crossing the Ring using Supersmoke.
But it’s no walk in the park; XANA spots them and sends three Mantas. The girls transfer out of the Megapod to fight them while the boys use the cannon, but the vehicle is soon destroyed, devirtualising Odd and Ulrich along with it. William arrives to help and the three remaining Warriors hurry to the Dome. Aelita opens the door but is devirtualised soon after, as is William. Yumi rushes to the door but it closes just before she gets there. She turns around to face the last Manta, but it ignores her and flies away. The group is forced to wait 12 hours before going back.
That evening, Aelita receives a call from Jeremy. The others are already waiting for her at the factory. But when she leaves her room, she runs into Jim, who tells her the principal wants to see her. When she gets there, there’s a man sitting opposite Mr Delmas at the desk. Aelita immediately recognises him and tries to flee, but Jim stops her. Tyron smiles at her.
The principal tells Aelita she should be happy about the good news the man brings: her mother is alive. Tyron suggests she could be shocked to suddenly learn that her mother is alive and has remarried. Tyron is now her step-father!
The others grow impatient. Yumi goes to look for Aelita while the others wonder if she changed her mind. They decide to go and wait on the Cortex anyway.
According to Tyron, he and Anthea have been married for four years now, making Tyron Aelita’s legal guardian. He can take her back to Switzerland with him so she can see her mother…but Aelita refuses, to Delmas’s great surprise. Tyron shows her a tablet with a recorded message from Anthea. She says she’s overjoyed to learn that Aelita’s still alive, and that Aelita can trust Tyron to reunite them. Tyron then gives her a locket containing a photo of Anthea and a younger Aelita. He gives her a choice: Aelita will never see her mother again unless she agrees not to destroy the Cortex Supercomputer! Aelita refuses again: XANA is too big a threat.
That’s when Yumi enters the office and stumbles into the scene. She and Aelita escape while Tyron calls his chauffeur to help him look for the girls with the help of the GPS tracer implanted in Aelita’s necklace. Yumi takes the necklace and wanders around the park to keep the men away from the lab, while Aelita heads for the factory.
Aelita is virtualised near the Skid and she and the boys set off on their vehicles. They make it to the Core Zone without any issues.
While Yumi is walking through the park, Tyron suddenly grabs her and snatches the necklace from her hand. The chauffeur arrives and restrains her while Tyron tries to get her to tell him where the others are. Yumi doesn’t respond, so Tyron makes a call to one of his employees…ordering him to shut down the Supercomputer!
Aelita and Ulrich enter the Core Zone while Odd and William keep watch outside. When they reach the interface, the light of the white sphere in the centre of the room begins to dim. The platforms around them start to fall: the Supercomputer is shutting down! Aelita hurries to finish the job: if they don’t launch the virus, Tyron will just wait and turn his Supercomputer back on later. The virus is sent and Jeremy tries to bring them back in…but he can’t! The shutdown procedure is blocking the signal! The four Warriors are forced to flee!
Once outside the Dome, the Ring starts to fall too. They have to get to the Skid, or else they’ll be lost in the Digital Sea forever! They set off on their vehicles and hurry to the submarine. The platforms start falling all around them, and they’re just barely able to stay ahead of it. Ulrich and Aelita fall and the Overbike is destroyed, but the two others turn around to help them back up again. They continue on foot…they’re so close to the Skid…
The platform tilts, creating a sharp slope. The four teens slide down it and fall off the edge. The Dome explodes. The scanners remain closed.
Yumi can’t believe her ears. She’s horrified. Tyron and his chauffeur leave her standing alone in the park. After a moment of silence, she sprints to the factory, on the verge of tears…
When she reaches the lab, she’s welcomed by all the others, safe and sound. The virus was transmitted but it didn’t have time to take effect. It will destroy the Supercomputer if it’s turned on again…unless Tyron develops an antivirus, allowing XANA to come back once again. But so long as Lyoko is still around, XANA still has a way of escaping. So they too must shut down their Supercomputer…for now. But they’ll still be ready for whatever may come their way in the future.
The Lyoko Warriors assemble in front of the Supercomputer control panel and Jeremy removes the key. The machine descends into the floor, its lights going out one by one.
Code Lyoko Evolution on YouTube (update)
Hey everyone, it's been a while!
It's been a few years since Dargaud acquired the rights to Code Lyoko and started posting the episodes for free on official YouTube channels, with several channels for various languages. The rights for Evolution still belonged to someone else so they couldn't be posted. But now the licence has gone to Dargaud as well, and they've started posting the episodes on the official Code Lyoko channels!
Because the episodes (except one) were never dubbed into English, they've decided to keep the original French versions and add English subtitles. So far the English channel is the only one to start uploading episodes,
Dargaud and Code Lyoko
Hey guys, it's been a while! Just a quick update. And it's Code Lyoko rather than Evolution, but it's worth sharing!
As plenty of people may already know, there are now official YouTube channels for Code Lyoko in various languages, where the episodes have been uploaded in decent quality for free viewing. The English channel just reached episode 95, so the whole series can now be found there. Binge away!
But that's not all... Apparently, Dargaud has created an HD version of the series! No word on when or how it will be released yet, or how they made it HD, but it will be available in English as well as French. I guess it's not huge news, but
Moonscoop bought by Dargaud
First off, new avatar! I'm a GIF fan so a change was inevitable, but I admit the change from dark blue to yellow is a little weird at first.
Oh and another group-related note, please try to submit any non-CLE works directly to the "Other Code Lyoko" folder rather than Featured, it makes it a lot easier to sort ^^'
Secondly (old news), Canal J has aired episodes 20-26 and they're available in low quality French (unfortunately not on iTunes), links to which are available on the episode journal entries. Aaand I can't seem to find any subs for them...I'm probably just looking in the wrong place. If you know any links, drop them in the comments!
Canal J picks up CLE
Looks as though Canal J is about to break the episode hiatus!
While some French people are a little miffed about not having the channel, Canal J has started to air Code Lyoko Evolution with a rather strange schedule. I'm not going to try and explain, but in short, episodes 20-26 should be aired in mid-December, starting on the 13th and ending on the 20th. Here's the TV guide if you're curious.
Yeah, 3:34am. The episode on the 14th is listed as being Rivalry for some reason, but I think that's just a mistake.
Meanwhile, France 4 continues delaying the episodes, they're up to their second rerun of episode 10 now.
