EDIT: According to a Moonscoop official, these mightn't be the final voices they choose, if they do go with a dub. The message sent is as follows:
"The trailer that was released in English has been provided in order to present the series to an international audience (as the production is in French). There has been no determination on whether or not these voices will be final for an English dubbed version and there are no broadcast plans that I can discuss at this time."
Some people were guessing that it was probably just something thrown together quickly to calm our nerves and worries about whether there would actually be an English version, and it seems they were right. The video is really just a demo letting us know that Moonscoop will most likely be dubbing it soon.

Moonscoop just released a new trailer in English. And the winner of the sub/dub/re-film question is...
...dub. With new actors as well, instead of our perfectly good old ones from the original cartoon, and stronger accents. Man am I glad I can speak French, I don't have to watch this version. Well it's not bad bad, and the script is fairly accurate (but not completely) but...yeah. The subbing by CL Evolved will most likely still happen, so eventually the French subbed version will be available.

Yup, it's now 10 days until CLE episode 1 is released! If you feel like joining in the challenge here's the link again.
Due to a bit of oversight on my part I forgot that the Americas are behind Europe time zone-wise, and should therefore do the challenges a day earlier than listed. Otherwise we'll end up with the challenge finishing the day after, stuff like that.
There are also a lot of people who have finals at this time, so I'll probably start the challenge again in anticipation for the 5th of January, when school's out, for those people.
In unrelated news, the decision on the CL.fr forums is pretty unanimous; nobody wants to sub the episodes due to formatting issues. Yes I can speak French, but no I can't sub them. The English version is projected to be released in June, but I'm not certain. I also don't know what format it'll be in; sub, dub or refilmed.
They might however release scripts of the French episodes, which I can translate. If that happens then you could read the script while watching the episode, if you're desperate.
And I honestly think that the wait is fair. Here in Australia we're used to getting everything late, so it'll be nice to have you guys share our pain for once. So rather than complaining, I'd simply be happy that Code Lyoko is coming back :'D Whether you can understand it or not, it's still really exciting.

Code Lyoko Evolution on YouTube (update)
Hey everyone, it's been a while!
It's been a few years since Dargaud acquired the rights to Code Lyoko and started posting the episodes for free on official YouTube channels, with several channels for various languages. The rights for Evolution still belonged to someone else so they couldn't be posted. But now the licence has gone to Dargaud as well, and they've started posting the episodes on the official Code Lyoko channels!
Because the episodes (except one) were never dubbed into English, they've decided to keep the original French versions and add English subtitles. So far the English channel is the only one to start uploading episodes,
Dargaud and Code Lyoko
Hey guys, it's been a while! Just a quick update. And it's Code Lyoko rather than Evolution, but it's worth sharing!
As plenty of people may already know, there are now official YouTube channels for Code Lyoko in various languages, where the episodes have been uploaded in decent quality for free viewing. The English channel just reached episode 95, so the whole series can now be found there. Binge away!
But that's not all... Apparently, Dargaud has created an HD version of the series! No word on when or how it will be released yet, or how they made it HD, but it will be available in English as well as French. I guess it's not huge news, but
Moonscoop bought by Dargaud
First off, new avatar! I'm a GIF fan so a change was inevitable, but I admit the change from dark blue to yellow is a little weird at first.
Oh and another group-related note, please try to submit any non-CLE works directly to the "Other Code Lyoko" folder rather than Featured, it makes it a lot easier to sort ^^'
Secondly (old news), Canal J has aired episodes 20-26 and they're available in low quality French (unfortunately not on iTunes), links to which are available on the episode journal entries. Aaand I can't seem to find any subs for them...I'm probably just looking in the wrong place. If you know any links, drop them in the comments!
Canal J picks up CLE
Looks as though Canal J is about to break the episode hiatus!
While some French people are a little miffed about not having the channel, Canal J has started to air Code Lyoko Evolution with a rather strange schedule. I'm not going to try and explain, but in short, episodes 20-26 should be aired in mid-December, starting on the 13th and ending on the 20th. Here's the TV guide if you're curious.
Yeah, 3:34am. The episode on the 14th is listed as being Rivalry for some reason, but I think that's just a mistake.
Meanwhile, France 4 continues delaying the episodes, they're up to their second rerun of episode 10 now.
